and oral procedures at O.V.C., as well
as teaching veterinary dentistry to
undergraduates. Also, he began a wet
lab program for general practitioners
that is now in its twenty-second year.
In November of 2012, Dr. Haws had the
outstanding opportunity to become a
founding member of Guelph's first
veterinary multi-specialty private
practice.
Dr. Haws interests include cycling,
canoeing, Nordic skiing, and wildlife
photography.

Meet our Team
Dr. Haws graduated from the Ontario
Veterinary College (O.V.C.) in Guelph,
Ontario, Canada in 1986, and has
worked in small animal private
practice in British Columbia and
Ontario. He pursued his special
interest in veterinary dentistry, and in
1996 wrote the examination to become
a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary
Dentistry, an internationally
recognized level of advanced
knowledge in this field. In May 1998,
Dr. Haws became a board certified
specialist in veterinary dentistry.
In August 1999, Dr. Haws was
honoured by the invitation to join the
Veterinary Teaching Hospital at O.V.C.
